Treatment
A treatment with Winter Guard at close down for the winter should ensure a pool free from algae at the following spring start up.

Application
Follow your pool manual for correct close down procedure. It is advisable to shock dose the pool before addition of Winter Guard. Add 5 litres Winter Guard to 50m³ pool water. Distribute evenly over the pool surface. This can be made easier by diluting the Winter Guard in water in a large plastic container, then adding to the swimming pool water.

 Shock Plus Chlorine Granules, 5kg

Over and above simple shock granules this product simultaneously helps to clarify the water and helps eliminate organic contaminants.
 
This product contains chlorine granules for shock dosing swimming pool water, to kill bacteria and breakdown organic contaminants.

Treatment
Test the pool water with a suitable test kit to determine chlorine levels. A weekly shock dose is recommended to remove algae and bacteria and prevent any build up of resistant strains. To increase the chlorine level by 1mg/litre (ppm) add 300g shock granules per 100m³. Add shock granules to raise the chlorine level to between 6-10 mg/litre (ppm).

Application

Dissolve the Shock Granules in water in a plastic bucket. Add solution to the pool water near return inlets.
