Spa Starter Kit

‘Start up kit and on going treatment for new Spa and Hot Tub owners’ 

This kit has been specifically designed for simplicity of use. Dependent upon your usage, this kit should be sufficient to treat the average Hot Tub or Spa for a whole season. 

OPC Spa Chlorine Granules 500g

Spa Chlorine Granules are rapid dissolving and are specifically formulated to disinfect Spa and Hot Tub water.

Treatment

1. Ensure bathers are out of the water when adding chemicals.
2. Maintain the pH balance between 7.4 - 7.6
3. Test the water with a Chlorine test kit, the ideal reading for free chlorine is 2-3 ppm.
4. To increase the Free Chlorine reading by 1 ppm add 2g of Spa Stabilised Chlorine Granules per 1000 litres of water.
5. Spa Chlorine Granules can be added directly to the water with circulation running and water temperature above 20^oC.
6. Re-test for Free Chlorine on a daily basis and after bathing.
7. It is recommended to add Spa Non-Chlorine Shock on a weekly basis to help with the oxidisation process (reduction in contaminants).

OPC Spa pH & Alkalinity Reducer 750g

The correct pH and Alkalinity balance is vital to ensure confortable bathing conditions, maximum efficiency from the sanitiser (Chlorine/Bromine) and to help maintain the fabric of the Spa or Hot Tub. The correct pH reading should be 7.4 - 7.6 and Total Alkalinity between 80 - 150 ppm.

Treatment

1. Ensure bathers are out of the water when adding chemicals.
2. Use a good quality test kit to determine the pH and/or the Total Alkalinity (TA) reading.
3. To reduce the pH readings add 10g per 1000 litres of Spa pH &Alkalinity Reducer, sprinkling product directly in to the water with circulation on. This application will lower the pH by approximately 0.2.
4. Only make one addition of Spa pH & Aklalinity Reducer at a time and always re-test the water. Should a further addition be required, please follow step 3 again.
5. To reduce Total Alkalinity (TA) add 15g per 1000 litres of Spa pH & Alkalinity Reducer with the water circulation on. Add product to the deepest point of the Spa/Hot Tub in one application. This application will lower the Total Alkalinity (TA) by approximately 10 - 20 ppm (mg/l).
6. Always re-test the water after each application.

OPC Spa pH Plus 500g

Use to increase pH when the level falls below 7.2 in Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub water. If the pH reading is too low it can cause eye and skin irritations and cause corrosion to the Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub equipment.

Treatment

1. Ensure bathers are out of the water when adding chemicals.
2. Use a test kit to determine the pH reading, the ideal reading is 7.4 - 7.6, if the reading is below 7.4 use Spa pH Plus to increase the reading.
3. To increase the pH, dose at the rate of 10g per 1000 litres of water.
4. If the Spa or Hot Tub is up to temperature (above 30^oC) add the Spa pH Plus directly to the water with circulation on. If the water is cold, then pre-dissolve Spa pH Plus in a clean container filled with clean warm water and then distribute around the surface of the water.
5. Re-test the water after 30 minutes, if the pH still needs to be increased follow steps 3 and 4 again.
6. Only add Spa pH Plus in stages and always re-test after additions.

OPC Spa No Foam 500ml

Spa No Foam is specifically formulated to remove excessive and unsightly foaming on surface water. This is often caused by a build-up of soaps, shampoos, detergents and skin care products.

Treatment

1. Always ensure bathers are out of the water before adding chemicals.
2. Shake the bottle before application.
3. Add no more than 10ml-20ml of Spa No Foam directly to the affected area of foaming.
4. Do not re-apply Spa No Foam until at least 24 hrs have passed, after this another application can be made.
5. If Spa No Foam is used on a regular basis it is essential to undertake a weekly clean of the Cartridge Filter.

Palintest 3 in 1 Test Strips

Perfect for the residential user, Palintest 3 in 1 Test Strips are manufactured in the UK. Supplied in pots containing 50 Test Strips. The procedure is exactly as expected - dip horizontally into Swimming Pool, Spa or Hot Tub water, take out of water and wait for 10 seconds. Compare to the colour on the Test Strip to the colour chart printed on the pot.
