Are you or one of your loved ones a sauna owner? Well, Christmas is just around the corner, so why not put some sauna accessories on your letters to Santa? Here are 8 things that every sauna owner should have:

Bucket and Ladle

The very basic accessories that every sauna needs is a bucket and ladle. The bucket should be filled with water, and every now and again the water spooned onto the hot coals. This water will turn into vapour and effect the humidity in the room. And the warmer, and more humid the sauna is, the more you’ll sweat.

Curved Ergonomic Backrests

With most saunas made completely of wood, they may not be the comfiest of areas to sit in for a long time. A curved ergonomic backrest (also made of wood) can fit to the shape of your back, and allows you to rest while still maintaining good posture. This is a perfect gift for any sauna owner with a history of back problems.

Sauna Clock

It is advisable to remove any jewellery when using a sauna, especially watches. The heat in the sauna can cause the air within the watch to expand and as a result may add pressure to the glass causing it to crack or smash.

So how do you know what time it is and how long you have been in there for? Well, you install a sauna clock of course! These are specially made so they aren’t affected by the heat.

Sauna Soap

Do you enjoy bathing in the sauna? Well, how are you going to get clean without soap? There are plenty of sauna bar soaps out there in a variety of scents. We love the smell of pine or birch in our saunas.

Oils and Scents

If you don’t bath in your sauna but would still like it to smell nice, why not invest in some scented oils or milks? Eucalyptus milk is a personal fav of ours, as it not only smells fab, but it can really clear your airways. Simply add a small dose to your water bucket, and as it hits the coals the scented vapour will fill the room. Bliss!

Sauna Seat Covers

Any sauna user will know if you sit for too long in a sauna you will end up having grooves indented in your legs from the wooden benches.

A linen sauna seat cover will help you avoid this, as well as improve hygiene in shared saunas. No one wants to sit in your sweat!

Sauna Cushions

Another great accessory to keep any sauna user comfortable is a cushion. These aren’t every day pillows though.
Sauna cushions are durable and easy to clean, plus the high-performance fabrics, which they are made of, are fast drying and won’t fade with use. So get comfy in your sauna or another’s with a sauna cushion!

Dressing Gown or Towel Hooks

How do you undress for a sauna experience? Whether you wrap up in a towel or cover-up with a robe, put a set of wooden hooks on your letter to Father Christmas. This may be a simple addition, but it is a well-used one. Keep your towels and dressing gowns clean by hanging them up!

You now know what every sauna owner should have on their Christmas list, but what about if you have a pool or spa too? We have plenty of great products for them too! You’ll be spoilt for choice.
